Our Fall Flour Drop was a success and we were more than thrilled with the turnout! Special thanks to the participants, and the donations to the Tailwind Aviation Foundation.
"Why do a flour drop?" Well, besides the fact that its fun to throw stuff out of an airplane... we believe its important for our community to get together and celebrate General Aviation. We are a family oriented business; we enjoy folks coming out with their spouse and children, and no better spot to do that than at VBT!
We had a crowd of almost 50 people, 6 aircraft flying and 20 participants threw flour. The aircraft that was flying was a Maule, Cessna 170, the Ercoupe, a couple 172's and even F35 Bonanza! Jeff Smith (Pilot of the 172) won the toss with a distance of 19 ft from the target. Before he went up he asked me "What is the prize?" I said "A big ego!" Jeff, congratulations on the ego! ;)
Big thanks to the participants that supported another General Aviation event. Without you, we simply wouldn't be the "Summit Family." If you have not attended one of our events, we highly recommend staying connected with us and making it out next time. We want to meet you, and add you to our family.
